The stone of grounding and recentering.
Metallic grey and surprisingly heavy, hematite is a stone of instant grounding. It’s said to bring your feet back to earth when the mind races, absorb the overflow and restore a quiet sense of solidity.
Its very weight does the work: you hold it, and you come back down.
Its name comes from the Greek haima, “blood”, because ground to powder it turns red. Iron-rich, it already served as red ochre in prehistoric cave paintings.
For a racing mind, scattered moments, or a need to recenter fast.
Hold it in your palm and breathe when everything speeds up, keep it in a pocket on scattered days, or set it on your desk as an anchor. What matters isn't the stone itself, but the attention it invites you to bring to yourself: a crystal is an intention you hold in your hand.
⚠️ A soft or sensitive stone: avoid water and salt. Cleanse it with smoke (sage, palo santo) and recharge it under moonlight or on a quartz cluster.
"A crystal doesn't do the work for you — it reminds you, in the palm of your hand, of what you've chosen to listen to. 🐑"

Hold it in your palm and breathe when everything speeds up, keep it in a pocket on scattered days, or set it on your desk as an anchor.
With smoke (sage, palo santo) then under moonlight — no water or salt, it’s a sensitive stone.
