Human Design is a modern self-knowledge system that blends four older traditions — astrology, the I Ching, the Kabbalah and the chakra system — into a single visual chart called a bodygraph. It's calculated from your exact birth date, time and place, and it describes how your energy works and how you're designed to make decisions that feel right for you.
Like everything with Wooly, it isn't about telling you who to be — it's a mirror to help you live more in tune with your natural way of being.
Your type is the heart of your chart. It comes with a "strategy" — the simplest way to move through life with less resistance.

Your authority is your inner compass for decisions. Common ones include Emotional (sleep on it — wait for emotional clarity), Sacral (a gut yes/no in the moment), and Splenic (a quiet, instant intuition). Following your authority instead of your over-thinking mind is the core practice of Human Design.
Your profile is a pair of numbers (like 1/3 or 5/1) describing the "role" you play in life. Your bodygraph also has nine centres (energy hubs, similar to chakras) that are either defined (consistent energy) or open (where you take in and amplify the world). Together they paint a detailed picture of how you operate.
Because Human Design uses precise planetary positions — at your birth and about 88 days before — you'll need your exact birth date, time and place. (This is what makes it deeper, and more technical, than a numerology number you can reduce by hand.)
