Chapter 5 — your open centres
Your open Solar Plexus. You did not arrive with your own emotional weather. You borrow other people's — and you amplify it, which is why a room can change your whole afternoon and you cannot always say what happened.
The wisdom in this is real: you read emotional undercurrents faster and more accurately than people with a defined Solar Plexus, because you have spent a lifetime sampling everyone else's. You often know a conversation has turned before anyone has said anything.
The lie it tempts you to believe is that you are too much — too sensitive, too reactive, too dependent on the mood of others. It is worth noticing whether what you call your own overwhelm tends to arrive in company and lift when you are alone. If it does, the feeling was information about the room, not a verdict about you.
Honestly: how this compares to a live session
Human Design practitioners generally charge $150 to $200 for a 60 to 75 minute reading. This is not that, and it would be dishonest to price it as though it were.

If you want someone to sit with you and respond to your particular situation, book a practitioner — that is genuinely a different thing and worth its price. This is for the case where you want your chart explained properly, in depth, in writing, without booking anything.
What this reading will not do
It will not predict your future, tell you what another person thinks or feels about you, or diagnose anything about your health or your mind. Human Design is a modern symbolic system — something to experiment with and test against your own experience, not a verdict about who you are.
Your chart is calculated from real astronomical positions, so the diagram is reproducible. What it means is an interpretation offered to you. Keep what proves true in practice, and leave the rest.
Questions
What is a Human Design reading?
It takes the chart calculated from your birth date, time and place and interprets it: your energy type, the strategy that follows from it, your inner authority, your profile, which centres are defined and which are open, and the channels connecting them. A chart on its own is a diagram — a reading is what that diagram means for how you decide and where your energy goes.
Do I need my exact birth time?
Yes, and it matters more here than in most systems. Human Design also uses a second calculation taken about 88 days before your birth, so an inaccurate time can shift your profile, your authority and sometimes your type. If you do not know your birth time, the reading will still be written — but treat the profile and authority as approximate.
How is this different from the free chart?
The chart is the calculation, and it stays free. The reading is the interpretation of your specific chart: what each defined centre gives you, what each open centre absorbs from others, how your authority works in a real decision, and what your channels are built to do.
Is it accurate?
The chart is calculated from real astronomical positions and is reproducible. The interpretation is symbolic, not scientific. Read it as a description offered to you, and keep what holds up in your own experience.
