✦ Archetypes & the soul

Jungian Astrology, explained

Carl Jung, archetypes and synchronicity — how astrology became a language for the soul's journey toward wholeness.

What it is

Jungian astrology reads the chart through the ideas of the psychologist Carl Jung — especially archetypes (universal patterns living in us all), synchronicity (meaningful coincidence) and individuation (the lifelong journey toward becoming whole). Jung himself studied astrology and found it a rich symbolic language for the psyche.

Planets as archetypes

In this view the planets are archetypal forces we all carry: the Sun is the Self trying to shine; the Moon, the inner child and the mother; Venus, the lover; Mars, the warrior; Saturn, the wise elder and the inner critic; Pluto, death-and-rebirth. Your chart shows how these timeless characters are arranged in you.

The tarot connection

If you love tarot, you already speak this language. The Major Arcana is a gallery of archetypes, and the Fool's journey through the cards mirrors Jung's individuation — the soul moving from innocence to wholeness. Astrology and tarot are two dialects of the same symbolic mother-tongue. See the Major Arcana.

What it's good for

Finding meaning. Dreamwork. Understanding the deeper story beneath your life's chapters. It's less about ‘what’ and more about ‘what is this for?’

A gentle, honest note

This is a poetic, symbolic approach — it's meant to deepen reflection and meaning, not to diagnose or predict. Hold it lightly and let it enrich your inner life.

Astrology, gently — with Wooly.

Questions

Are tarot and astrology really connected?

Through archetypes, yes — the Major Arcana and the planets both express the same universal patterns Jung described. Many readers use both.

Did Carl Jung actually use astrology?

Yes — Jung studied astrology and used it in his work, seeing it as a symbolic map of the psyche and a key example of synchronicity.
