The stone of light and purification.
White and luminous, selenite is the stone of purification. It’s said to clear the atmosphere of a room and the energy of other stones — it’s often used as a “charging plate”. Its luminous softness instantly calms a space.
It’s the stone that cleanses the others: a classic on the altar or nightstand.
Its name comes from Selene, the Greek moon goddess, for its milky glow. It is in fact gypsum, a soft, fibrous stone — ⚠️ water-soluble, so never wet it.

Lay your other stones on it overnight to recharge them, place it in a room you want to calm, or hold it and breathe to find quiet. What matters isn't the stone itself, but the attention it invites you to bring to yourself: a crystal is an intention you hold in your hand.
⚠️ A soft or sensitive stone: avoid water and salt. Cleanse it with smoke (sage, palo santo) and recharge it under moonlight or on a quartz cluster.
"A crystal doesn't do the work for you — it reminds you, in the palm of your hand, of what you've chosen to listen to. 🐑"
