Everything is energy in motion.
The Law of Vibration states that everything in existence — every atom, every thought, every emotion — is in a constant state of motion, vibrating at its own frequency. Nothing is truly still, not even solid matter: at the subatomic level, what appears fixed is in ceaseless, rapid oscillation.
The Hermetic tradition formulated this as "The Principle of Vibration" in the Kybalion: "Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates." Modern physics confirms the principle at the atomic scale — all matter is made of particles in motion, and energy propagates as waves. Nikola Tesla captured the idea: "If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration."
Your thoughts and emotions are not abstract — they are forms of energy with their own frequencies. Fear and love feel different because they vibrate differently; one contracts, the other expands. Chronic states of anxiety, joy, resentment or peace are sustained frequencies — patterns you carry that colour how you perceive your environment and what you tend to draw into your life.
The science of cymatics demonstrates this visibly: sound frequencies create measurable, distinct patterns in physical matter. Different tones produce different forms. The same principle is at work in the less visible medium of your interior life — your habitual emotional tone creates a kind of pattern in the space around you and in the experiences you encounter.
In this framework, "high vibration" doesn’t mean relentlessly cheerful — it means frequencies associated with expansion, clarity, love, gratitude and peace. "Low vibration" describes contracted states: fear, resentment, shame, chronic exhaustion. Neither is permanently fixed. States shift. The goal isn’t to eliminate low states (which are real and human) but to tend the overall conditions of your inner life.
You don’t raise your vibration by forcing yourself to feel good when you don’t. That creates inner conflict (a low frequency in itself). You raise it by creating conditions — tending to what depletes and what restores — and letting the shift happen.
"You don’t have to master all twelve at once, love. Live one gently, and the others follow. 🐑"
Everything — matter, thoughts, emotions — vibrates at a specific frequency. Nothing is truly static. The Law of Vibration says your inner state (your habitual emotional frequency) shapes what you experience and attract.
Gently — through rest, gratitude, nature, music and kind self-talk. Don’t force high spirits. Create the conditions in which a lighter state can naturally arise: reduce what depletes you, increase what restores you.
Vibration is the mechanism; Attraction is the result. The Law of Vibration says everything has a frequency. The Law of Attraction says that your sustained frequency draws matching experiences toward you. Vibration is the "how"; Attraction is the "what happens next."
No. Frequency is dynamic, not fixed. One anxious afternoon doesn’t define your baseline. What matters is your dominant, habitual state over time — and that can always be tended and shifted.
Modern physics confirms that matter at the atomic level is energy in motion, and that energy propagates as waves with measurable frequencies. The specific application to emotions and consciousness is a philosophical and spiritual interpretation of these physical principles, not a direct scientific claim.
The teaching explains the mechanism. What is it doing in your life?
