What Wooly
will never tell you

Every site in this field promises you insight. Very few will tell you what they refuse to generate. This page is that list.

A reading that cannot contradict you says nothing at all.

The short version

There are things we could calculate, wrap in beautiful language and charge you for. Plenty of places do. We do not, because they would not be true, and you are the one who would carry them.

Wooly will never:

  • tell you what is going to happen, as a certainty or a date;
  • say anything about your health, your body or your mind as a diagnosis;
  • tell you when you or anyone else will die;
  • tell you what another person secretly thinks, feels or intends;
  • claim a card or a number is the cause of who you are;
  • speak in the voice of the universe, the cards or your records, as if they were confirming a fact;
  • argue that tarot, astrology or numerology is objectively true, or try to talk you into believing it;
  • flatter you with a strength that has no cost attached to it.

These are not aspirations written for a trust page. They are instructions the model receives on every single reading, and the rest of this page quotes them.

Never a prediction

Tarot and astrology are at their most useful when they help you look at a situation from a new angle, and at their most harmful when they tell you what is coming. So the reading speaks in tendencies a tradition highlights, and always pairs them with what is in your power.

Never invent facts, never claim to know what another person thinks, feels or will do, never make a fixed prediction. Never say things like “you will meet the one”, “you will get rich”, or “you will be left”. It is gentle illumination for reflection, never a forecast. Quoted from the reading rules in our code

The word promise is banned too, even softened with a maybe, because it reads as a guarantee. A card opens a possibility. It does not promise one.

No diagnosis, of your body or your character

A sign, a number or a card is symbolism on offer. It is never the explanation of who you are, and it is never a statement about your health. There is a real difference between “Life Path 1 is the impulse to lead” and “Life Path 1 is often read as the impulse to lead, notice whether that resonates”, and the second is the only one allowed here.

The same rule covers so-called gifts. Wooly will not tell you that your nervous system picks up frequencies other people cannot hear, or that you can feel when someone is lying. It can tell you that you may be unusually attentive to shifts in tone, and that not every impression you notice is a message. One of those sentences is a fair observation. The other is a flattering invention.

If something in your life needs a doctor, a therapist, a lawyer or an accountant, a reading is not a substitute for any of them, and we will not pretend otherwise.

Nothing about someone who never agreed to it

You can bring a relationship to a reading. That is one of the most honest things tarot does. What you cannot get here is the private inner life of a person who never sat down and asked for a reading.

Wooly will explore your side of it: what you are carrying, what you keep returning to, what is actually in your hands. It will not hand you a verdict on their intentions, because it does not have one, and a confident guess about an absent person is the most damaging thing a reading can produce.

The cards are really random

This one is worth being precise about, because it is the part that is easiest to fake and almost nobody discloses.

The draw happens on our server, with a cryptographic random number generator, before the model is called. The model receives a list of cards to interpret. It does not pick them, and it never sees your question in time to choose cards that would suit it.

The draw takes place before the call to the model, which now receives cards to interpret and not cards to choose. Comment in our reading code, written the day the draw was moved

Reversed cards are part of it: the orientation is drawn at random too, and a reversed card is read through its reversed meaning, not quietly flipped back to the comfortable one.

We are not here to convert you

Magical Chart draws on tarot, astrology, numerology, the Chinese zodiac and Human Design. It does not claim any of them describe physical reality, and Wooly is instructed never to argue the case or to try to convince you.

What we do claim is narrower and, we think, more useful: these are old, serious, human systems of symbols, and looking at your own situation through one of them can genuinely shift how you see it. That is a real effect, and it does not require the astrology to be literally true.

So the symbolism is read with confidence, and the metaphysics is left alone. A reading that hedges every sentence with a perhaps is as useless as one that overclaims.

Every strength comes with its edge

A compliment vague enough to fit anybody is not insight, it is a mirror with the lights turned off. So each quality a reading names has to come with a real cost or blind spot attached, tied to something specific in your own cards or chart.

And the reasoning has to depend on your combination. The internal test is blunt: would this sentence change if one of your details were different? If not, it is generic, and it gets rewritten.

If you are in danger

When you type a question to Wooly, it passes a check before anything else happens. If it contains explicit language about suicide, self-harm or immediate danger, the question is never sent to the model at all. It is caught first, and what comes back points you to real help instead of drawing cards.

Ordinary anxiety, grief and heartbreak are not intercepted, because those are exactly the moments a gentle reading can help with, and treating every sad question as an emergency would be its own kind of failure.

A reading is never a crisis service. If you are in danger right now, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line in your country.

What we cannot know

Two honest gaps, since the rest of this page is about restraint.

We only know what you tell us

Wooly knows the details you entered and the cards that were drawn. It does not know your circumstances, and it is instructed not to assume a specific behaviour behind a card as though it were a fact about your life. When a reading suggests something you have been avoiding, it is offered as a possibility you can recognise or dismiss, never as a finding.

Birth time changes the answer

For anything involving houses, the Ascendant or astrocartography, your birth time matters a great deal, and an estimate produces a different chart rather than a slightly blurrier one. Where a calculation depends on a time you are not sure of, that is a limit of the result, not a detail.

Why this page exists

Because the field has earned its reputation. There is a lot of money in telling anxious people what is going to happen to them, and the better the writing, the easier it is to believe.

Tarot works as a mirror, and it is a very old and serious way of thinking about your own life. What it has never been is an authority. It cannot sentence you, diagnose you, or tell you what Thursday holds, and a business that offers you any of those three is charging you for something it does not have.

If you ever read something here that crosses one of these lines, we would genuinely like to know. Tell us, and send the reading if you still have it.
