✦ Behind the reading

How Wooly reads your cards —
and where the human part begins

A transparent note about the method behind Magical Chart's AI tarot readings.

When you ask Wooly a question, he is not looking up a single meaning from a dictionary and pasting it underneath a card. The reading is built around the situation you brought with you: your question, the spread, the position of each card, and the way the cards speak to one another.

The four things Wooly considers

1. Your actual question

A card can feel hopeful in one situation and demanding in another. Your words give the reading its centre of gravity.

2. The card and its direction

Wooly uses the card's established symbolism and notices whether it is upright or reversed. A reversal is not a punishment or a prediction of something bad; it can point to an inward, blocked or less visible expression of the same energy.

3. Its place in the spread

In a Past–Present–Future reading, the same card means something different depending on where it lands. The past gives context, the present shows what is active, and the future describes a possible direction if the current energy continues.

4. The story between the cards

The useful part is often the connection: a pattern repeated, a tension that changes, or a movement from one card to the next. Wooly tries to turn those connections into a clear answer rather than three isolated definitions.

What AI is good at — and what it isn't

AI is good at finding language, connecting symbols and reflecting details from a question. It can help you see a situation from a new angle and turn a vague feeling into words you can work with.

It does not know the future, read your mind or replace your judgment. A reading is a prompt for reflection, not a verdict. If a sentence does not fit your life, you are allowed to set it down.

Our promise is simple: Wooly will try to be personal, clear and kind. He will not manufacture certainty, predict catastrophe or tell you to hand over an important decision to the cards.

Your privacy matters

Your question is used to shape the reading you requested. If you choose to save a reading or use Premium memory, it may be associated with the email or account you provide. You can learn more on our data during a reading page.
