What you actually receive

A written reading of where Mars actually falls in your chart, checked from all three traditional reference points — the lagna, the Moon and Venus — because a chart can be Manglik from one and not from another, and that difference changes everything about how seriously it is taken.

Then the part that is usually missing: the cancellations. Classical texts list many conditions under which the dosha is considered nullified, and most automated checkers ignore them entirely. Yours are checked one by one and named.

Why this report exists at all

Because "you are Manglik" is a sentence that has done real harm — broken engagements, families told a marriage was cursed, expensive remedies sold to frightened people. The tradition itself is far more careful than its reputation: it distinguishes degrees, it recognises cancellations, and it treats Mars as an energy to work with rather than a defect to be cured.

This reading takes that position. It tells you what is in your chart, how strongly, what cancels it, and what it has traditionally been understood to ask of a marriage — without a verdict, and without anything to buy afterwards.

What this is not

Before you buy

Am I Manglik if only one reference point shows it?

That is exactly the distinction this report makes. Being Manglik from the lagna, from the Moon or from Venus are treated differently in practice, and many charts show it from one and not the others.

What are cancellations?

Conditions under which the classical texts consider the dosha nullified — certain sign placements, aspects, or the partner's chart carrying it too. Most automated checkers skip them entirely, which is why so many people are told they are Manglik and never told they are also cancelled.

Do I need my exact birth time?

It helps a great deal. Mars's house position depends on the lagna, which moves about one degree every four minutes. With an uncertain time, the reading says which conclusions are firm and which are not.

Will you sell me a remedy?

No. The practices mentioned are free, and nothing is sold afterwards. That is deliberate: this dosha has a long history of being monetised through fear.

Does this cover compatibility?

No — this is one chart. For two charts together, the Kundli Milan report covers the eight kootas and both people's Manglik status.

About this page. Vedic astrology (jyotiṣa) is a living tradition, practised today. We write about it from the outside, for cultural and historical interest: we do not teach it, we do not speak for any community, and we invite no one to take it up or leave it. Any errors or simplifications are ours — tell us if something reads as unfair. Want the documented real-world harm the Manglik label has caused, alongside what's unverifiable? Read it here.

What is a Manglik Dosha report?

A Manglik Dosha report explores a traditional Vedic astrology concept connected with the placement of Mars in a birth chart. In some matching traditions, the placement is discussed in relation to partnership, conflict, energy and marriage timing.

Manglik Dosha should not be treated as proof that someone is dangerous, unlucky or unsuitable for marriage. Astrological claims about remedies and outcomes are beliefs, not scientific findings. A respectful relationship is defined by behaviour, safety, communication and consent, not by a label in a chart.

This is a one-time explanatory report based on birth details. For a broader Vedic chart, compare the Kundli Report; for two-chart compatibility, see Kundli Milan.

Questions people ask

What happens if someone is Manglik?

Nothing happens. Being described as Manglik means Mars sits in one of certain houses in a Vedic chart. In some matching traditions that placement is discussed in relation to marriage, conflict and timing.

We want to be direct, because this label does real harm. It is not evidence that a person is dangerous, unlucky, short-tempered or unsuitable to marry. People have had marriages called off over a planetary position, and nothing supports that.

At what age should a Manglik marry?

There is no astrologically determined age, and we will not supply one. Claims that waiting until a particular age neutralises a dosha are tradition, and the ages named differ between sources.

Marry when you and your partner are ready by the ordinary measures: you know each other, you can talk about money and conflict, and both of you are choosing it freely.

How do you remove Manglik Dosha?

Traditional remedies include specific pujas, fasts, gemstones and the kumbh vivah ritual. We describe them because you will encounter them; we do not endorse them as effective, and no evidence supports the idea that a dosha needs removing.

Be careful with anyone charging significant sums for removal. The combination of a frightening diagnosis and a paid cure is the oldest structure in this field, and it is worth recognising.

Is a particular public figure Manglik?

We will not speculate about named individuals. Publishing an astrological reading of a real person who has not asked for it is not something we are willing to do, whatever their fame.

The report reads only the birth data you enter for yourself. For the broader Vedic chart, see the Kundli Report; for two-chart matching, Kundli Milan.

Why do we sell a report about a label we criticise?

A fair question. People search for this because someone has already told them they are Manglik, and the pages waiting for them are mostly selling remedies for a problem they assert exists.

Our answer is to describe the tradition accurately, state plainly that the placement is not evidence about a person’s character or suitability, and not sell a cure. If that leaves you deciding you do not need the report, we would consider that a good outcome.
