Difficulties can be seen as tests that give your strengths context and your story depth. And comparing your life to others’ is optional — much suffering comes from the comparisons we choose.
When a hardship hits, ask what it’s here to reveal or strengthen. And gently drop the comparisons that only make you feel small — someone always has more, and more, and more.
